- God is the Creator of the universe
- God is personal to us and through the Holy Spirit helps ordinary people to do extrordinary things.
- God revealed himself to humanity in the person of Jesus Christ.
- Jesus, through his life and teachings, showed us how to live and to love one another
- God gives us the strength and inner peace to help us face life's difficulties and wants to help when things go wrong.
- A worship-centred and nurturing church - where we show love, friendship and support to each other within the body of the church; and where we pray for those who need comfort in the wider world, believing that prayer is a dynamic force which works through the Holy Spirit.
- An inclusive and developing church - recognising that each individual is at a different stage in their journey towards God, and therefore we warmly welcome all who are seeking a faith
- A learning and searching church - where we are constantly learning and searching for a better understanding of God's purposes
- An outward-looking church - seeking to care for those in need and speaking up when necessary for those with less of a voice in society.
- A dissenting church - challenging the status quo when this is needed.
